With on board Windows 10, there is no need to be held back with all of the quirks of Windows Mobile. Capable of running both Carlson’s SurvPC and MicroSurvey’s FieldGenius 10.

Carlson’s RT4 tablet is designed for the surveying and construction market. Everything about this tablet is built around the idea that it has to stand up to the toughest conditions in the field. This is the tablet that can replace your PC, the one that allows you to work from the office in the field all while standing up to whatever you can throw at it.
IP68 Environmental Rating
The Carlson RT4 tablet is the rugged tablet that is built for surveyors by people who have actually experienced field conditions. This is the data collector designed to protect your data even when faced with the harshest conditions. With an IP68 environmental rating, you have a data collector that is completely dustproof and waterproof. This tablet can be completely submerged in water, and the internals will never become compromised. In fact this tablet is rated as MIL-STD-810G, so you know it can stand up to any drops and impacts it will ever have to face.
High End Internals
The RT4 boasts some of the most powerful internals you can get on a portable tablet computer. With a Quad-core Intel Pentium N4200 processor, you always have the power to run whatever application you want. There is no need to worry about not being able to open the apps you use in the office on this tablet. Make edits on the fly and in the field, there is no need to have downtime when you have the RT4. This is paired with the 8 GB of RAM, giving you more than enough memory to open all of your files. There is no need to worry about the issues you faced in Windows Mobile where your data collector was unable to run the bigger jobs you needed it to run. Finally, with 128 GB of internal storage, and the ability to add more internal storage, you always have enough room to store all of your files.
The Modern Surveyors Tablet
With the RT4 from Carlson, you get a tablet that is capable of simplifying your work flow. As the tablet runs Windows 10, you can setup the cloud storage service of you choice. This means that as soon as you enter the office after being out in the field, all of your data syncs to your office PC. There is no need to struggle through attempting to download all of your files to the computer, as soon as you sit down your data is ready to go.
All of our used equipment is rigorously tested to ensure that it meets our used equipment standards. Before the instrument is sold, we test to ensure that the instrument specifications are as expected, and any broken parts are replaced or refurbished. Our standard testing regiment includes a range test to ensure the radios of any GNSS receiver are still operating within specifications. Our test course is a 3 km in city range test with no line of sight. This ensures the test is as close to what you experience in the field as possible. For total stations, we ensure that the unit is within expected calibration by shooting multiple points, with both sides of the total station. If work is required, we have an optical expert take a look and adjsut the unit.
Next we ensure that the instrument has the latest firmware and drivers available. This is to ensure that the unit is working as well as possible when you receive it. In order to repair used equipment, we keep a range of parts for all Hemisphere recievers, and many of the other leading brands. This allows us to repair and refurbish instruments that are otherwise not supported by the manufacturer. Finally, the units are thoroughly cleaned to ensure they look as new as possible.
